Character Sheet: Lady Annazena Marid of House Cadriaan
Meet the character I'll be playing during my trip on the Halcyon!
I am getting ready for my visit to the Galactic Starcruiser next month, which of course meant I needed a character -- and because I am Extra, I was not content merely to create a character in vague brushstrokes. Oh, no. I had to go ahead and flesh her out in enough detail that I could roll up a character sheet for her.
So, meet Annazena Marid! She's the daughter of Artizar, aka Lady Zara, who I played in a long ongoing campaign several years ago. (I would've just gone as Zara, but... she's Rebellion-era! And the Halcyon is very specifically post- The Last Jedi. It wouldn't have felt right.)

Background: Daughter of the infamous Lady Artizar Marid of House Cadriaan, ex-Rebel, now ruling her house and a member of the Tapani Council. Annazeña does her mother's work both in and out of the Sector, particularly when it comes to expanding business opportunities and useful connections. (In this regard, she is perhaps more like her grandmother than she will ever know).
She was off-world, negotiating some trade agreements, at the time of the destruction of Hosnian Prime. Before she could return home, the First Order blockaded the Sector, cutting the Shapani Bypass off from the greater Rimma Trade Route. Soon thereafter, Anna started to hear rumors that the FO was kidnapping known political agitants and dropping them in blacksites. This makes her very concerned for her mother, because if Lady Zara is anything, she is an agitant.
For the past few months, Anna has ricocheted around the galaxy, trying to find a way to slip the blockade and get home, while also keeping an ear out for any more news of those blacksites. She's having to live by her wits, without her usual safety nets -- since both Tapani and Republic resources are now unavailable to her. The money's starting to run out, and she'll do what's necessary to survive and claw her way back to where she belongs -- just as her mother did, 35 years ago. She's made the acquaintance of a few shady characters, smugglers, and scoundrels... but maybe the true path back can only be found through Resistance.

How I rolled it up:
I used the Age of Rebellion material for her, since I wanted the Diplomat talent tree more than the Politico one I used for Zara; if I were to actually play this character, I'd add on Agitator once I had the points to spend on a second tree. I did blend in some Edge of the Empire elements, though, so there's a balance of Duty and Obligation (their game function is essentially the same).
