It's important to note that these experiences *happened*. Just as when a group sits around the table of an RPG, those people who walked the Halcyon's decks *did* something. Those pathways are hardwired as memories.

That storytelling is a powerful thing.

And I will hold out hope alongside you that, in 18 months, we can log in for another post-writeoff journey beginning on October 1, 2025.

Yup - and that’ll be part of my analysis post, that immersive experiences are psychologically real. Which ties into Tolkien and Secondary Belief and other such concepts.

It really seemed like such a powerful experience! I love how well they managed to balance giving you an original and unique story, one that would be for you and the Halcyon and not just the films again, but without losing that element of...well, a word that would fit would be fan-service, but I feel like it has some negative connotations, so I guess a better description would be the elements that make you, as a fan, happy and make you feel like you are truly part of it all.

I really hope, both for you and other fans, for the performers who might still want to do something like this and for other immersive experiences like these that could appear if Disney does find a way to make it work, that it does come back, even if in a different way.

The fan service is really interesting, particularly when it comes to the characters. I was thinking about this in relation to my job and how we don't bring the Olympian gods to camp -- the major movie characters are used pretty sparingly. Like, Chewie's around a lot, but not in a way that promotes bonding with that character, because the fursuit sort of gets in the way of the performer doing that. Rey comes on-board pretty late and is only in a few places -- I'm pretty sure it's entirely possible not to realize she's on-board until that final scene. Kylo Ren you *only* see in that final scene, you never interact with him. So they're present, but they're not the core of the story -- or its heart. The characters original to the Halcyon are the ones who carry the core. Similarly, the lightsaber training... yeah, that's fanservice, and it's harder to justify in-world, but the Sajas bridge that gap -- and they're all amazing.

I so, so hope that it comes back in some satisfying fashion. It will be such a massive loss if it doesn't. I have to believe there's a way in which it can be made financially viable without being stripped for parts.
